AEONIAN - Eternal, everlasting

AURORA - Originally the name of the Roman goddess of sunrise, the word aurora is now used to describe the dawn, as well as the stunning luminous phenomenon that takes place in the upper atmosphere of a planet's magnetic polar regions.

MATUTINAL - Morning
As the LŪCĪSCIT HŌC draws near (growing light in the sky) the AURORA or DILUCULO breaks (dawn) and the beams of the QAMAR (moon) fade away. The brightest light (INARA) of the sun takes its place and the KORMOREBI breaks through (sunlight filtering through the leaves of the trees). We can welcome SOLIS ORTUS or what’s known as the sunrise.
VESPERTIDE - Evening
The evening begins with the GLOAMING, which is the moment the sky starts to darken and twilight sets in. It is the moment of OCCASUS when the sun settles down for the night and the moon... called QUMAR in Arabic, FENGARI in Greek, and LUNA in Latin, peeks through the clouds high in the sky.
NYCTOPHILIA - The love of the night
As the darkness settles in, the rising moon SCINTILLATES (shines brightly) from its resting place. It is transformed into STJERNEKLART - a dark, quiet sky by which the night is filled and illuminated by KUTITAP (glittering and sparkling) TALA (bright stars). They dance like fireflies across the sky in a STELLIFEROUS display (sky abounding with stars.) As the night draws in, the darkness gets more intense the closer it gets to NOCTE (midnight). GABI - Tagalog for nighttime

AULD LANG SYNE - Old times

Obscure Words Related to Time
AUGENBLICK- literally, “blink of an eye,” this German word means a fleeting, decisive moment or event that proves to be significant.
DESENRASCANCO - the last minute improvisation of a solution - to pull a MacGyver!
DORMIVEGLIA - the space of time between sleeping and waking (or vice versa). That magical time when you are half awake and coming out of your dreams.

LICNOBIO - a night owl who performs most activities at night under artificial light and sleeps in the day. A human version of a vampire - without the dead part or the need for blood.
LUCUBRATE - to work, write, study or think laboriously through the night. You burn the midnight oil.
NOCTUARY - The record of a single night’s events, thoughts or dreams.
ORENDA - a mystical force present in all people that empowers them to affect the world and change their fate or destiny
PERENDINATE- to procrastinate. From the Latin ‘perendinare‘ meaning “to defer until the day after tomorrow”), from the Latin ‘perendie’ meaning “on the day after tomorrow,” from ‘dies’ meaning ”day.” On a similar note is the possible tongue in cheek carpe diem cras or seize the day tomorrow.
QUAB - something immature or unfinished
RAME - Balinese for something both chaotic and joyful at the same time.
RANORANILAC - an early riser. Someone who gets up early to start the day.
REMONTANT - blooming more than once a season
SAKARATUL MAUT - Arabic for the literally the “throes of death.” The pain one suffers during the last moment of life.
SOBREMESA - the time spent around the table after lunch or dinner, talking to the people you shares the meal with. Time to digest and savor both food and friendship.
SOJURN - a temporary stay
SONNTAGSLEERUNG - the Sunday afternoon depression when you’ve realized the weekend is over and you go back to work the next day.
TIDOPTIMIST - a person who is habitually late because they think they have more time than they do
YESTREEN - during yesterday evening
YUYIN - the remnants of sound that stay in the ears long after the sound stopped
