Defining and Understanding the Meaning of Attraction, Lust, Affection, Love, Sex
Love. We think about it, sing about it, dream about it, worry about it. When we don’t have it, we search for it; when we discover it, we don’t know what to do with it; and when we have it, we fear losing it. How to define it? Do we understand it?

The Phobia Words - Defining Dislike
Mania is a state of abnormally elevated arousal, affect, and energy level. The word derives from the Ancient Greek μανία (manía), meaning “madness, frenzy" and the verb μαίνομαι (maínomai), meaning "to be mad, to rage, to be furious".
The English suffix -mania denotes an obsession with something or a compulsion for something. The suffix is used in some medical terms denoting mental disorders. It has also entered standard English and is affixed to many different words to denote enthusiasm or obsession with that subject. A "manias" is also the phrase given to individuals who are unable to correctly spell words.
Mania as a fad, craze, enthusiasm, eagerness or uncontrollable desire stems from the 1680s French manie (sometimes nativized in Middle English as manye). Used since the 1500s in compounds expressing particular types of madness (such as nymphomania, 1775; kleptomania, 1830; megalomania, 1890).
